New Year's Eve is upon us and it's time to start planning. Parties, Fireworks, Champagne, Celebrations, Home, Food...anything is possible. I still haven't decided what we will do so I am looking around to see what available - Here are my top 3 choices for things to do around Genoa in case you do decide to go out:
1) Piazza Dante - "Piazza Dante Dance Party" The "CIV" (from the Centro Storico di Sarzano)and the local city government of Genoa are organising a New Year's Eve Party in Piazza Dante. On the 31st the Piazza will become a huge open-air dance floor where you can ring in the New Year by dancing all night. It will be from 6:00 pm to 4:00 am with loads of DJs taking turns.
2) ICE SKATING in the Porto Antico di Genova I wrote about this possibility the other day on "What to do during the holidays in Genoa" you can check it out at www.ingenovain-en.com/2012/12/what-to-do-during-holidays.html. What a cool thing to do...Ice Skating the Year in! It's the last day of the year on the ice - New Year's Eve with music, lights and party. Midnight cheer all together! Opening from 22:00 to 5:00 (the rink will be closed from 19:30 to 22:00) on 1st January the rink will be open at 11:00.
3) The Teatro della Tosse"MASQUE DI CAPODANNO" - Emanuele Conte and Elisa D'Andrea will direct various pieces from Bianchi, Bonavera, Conte, D’Andrea, Euripide, Goldoni, Gozzi, Piazza, Romeo, Shakespeare. The cast includes Alessandro Bianchi, Enrico Bonavera, Sara Cianfriglia, Peter Fabbri, Rita Falcone, Lisa Galantini, Aldo Ottobrino, Gnu Quartet and special participation of the public!
This performance will become an interactive event...a mix of art and game. Afterall, isn't theater just a game?
